Indias first Night Safari on Yamuna Expressway ,2 kms from our site

Greater Noida: Taking another step towards putting its night safari project on track, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has finalized the business plan for the project.

In a meeting held on Thursday, which included officials from the Central Zoo Authority of India, the Authority has fixed the construction cost at Rs 750 crore. Tenders for the project will be initiated next month, while construction is expected to commence in June, officials said.

Officials said, the area of land for the project has also been increased by another 87 acres. “Now the project will be developed across 337 acres instead of 250 acres,” said a senior official. “The core area will be built across 200 acres, while the rest of the area will be used for business activities,” he said. “This will include hotel, club, pub, bar, etc” he said.

The detailed project report for the night safari is already in place and has been approved by the state government. An expression of interest (EoI) from developers, operators, individual entities and consortiums was invited by GNIDA in November last year.

The project has been conceptualized as a night zoo and family entertainment destination, which would include a night safari, bird park, artificial water body, club, cultural village and entertainment zone to be developed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.

India’s first night safari project is to be developed on land adjoining the Gautam Budh University campus on Yamuna Expressway.
